FALCONRY COURSES - Gauntlet specialises in teaching the ancient art of falconry.
All our courses from a one hour taster through to a full day, you will experience handling
and flying a large variety of birds. During the time you spend with us you will meet all
the birds and get the chance to get close to Gauntlet's collection of eagles, owls,
falcons, buzzards, vultures, hawks and kites.
Our courses include a hawk walk in which we take a team of Harris Hawks out flying freely
through the open countryside, giving you a taste of the essence of falconry.

Gauntlet welcome spectators to join the experience. The relevant prices are detailed below.
Courses are run 7 days a week, throughout the year.

THE OWL EXPERIENCE.
For owl lovers of all ages. Spend an hour hands on and basic flying tuition with a selection of different owls.

TASTER COURSE.
A one hour taster course at the centre gives you the opportunity to get close to the owls, buzzards,
kestrels and hawks, giving hands on experience and basic flying tuition. Suitable for budding falconers from 5 to 105.

FAMILY EXPERIENCE.
A private one hour experience designed for the whole family to enjoy together. You will get to handle a great variety of birds from the centre and then take a team of Harris Hawks on a hawk walk.
